Biography Section

Biography and Education

Colin is the Assistant Professor of Technical Production at Texas State University where he serves as the Technical Director for the University. Originally from Indianapolis, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Recording Arts from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music as well as a Masters of Fine Arts in Technical Production from Florida State University. Before coming to Texas State, Colin served as the Technical Director at Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theatre. Additionally, he has held the positions of Technical Director at Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Technical Director at Creede Repertory Theatre and the Assistant Production Manager at Butler University.

Teaching Interests

Theatrical Rigging, Theatrical Welding, Theatrical Automation, and Stagecraft.

Research Interests

Repertory Theatre Practices, and Theatrical Automation.
