Biography and Education

Ms. Kim Rosenbaum, Clinical Assistant Professor, St. David’s School of Nursing received her MS in Advanced Clinical Nursing from George Mason University, BSN from Hawaii Pacific University, and an Associate in Arts from St. Petersburg Junior College. She was previously the Deputy Director of the U.S. Army’s sole OB/GYN Specialty Program and served in the Army for 22 years. Ms. Rosenbaum is nationally certified in inpatient obstetrics, electronic fetal monitoring, is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, a published author, and a reviewer for Nursing for Women’s Health. Ms. Rosenbaum has served as an elected leader within Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) and on numerous AWHONN Committees. She is particularly passionate about lactation and perinatal bereavement care. Ms. Rosenbaum is recognized as a subject matter expert and has served on multiple Defense Health Agency committees, conducted numerous legal case reviews, and presented for a Defense Health Agency Teleconference. In 2016, Ms. Rosenbaum was recognized by the Center for Health Equity, Education, and Research (CHEER) for the Baby Friendly certification tools she created which are now being shared nationwide.
