Biography Section

Biography and Education

 I received my Ph.D. at Texas State in August 2023. I received my Masters from Texas State in August 2020. I received a dual Bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware in 2017.

Teaching Interests

 I am interested in teaching topics in the biological sciences and the social sciences. I have taught organismal biology, instructed vertebrate physiology labs, and have guest lectured for a human dimensions of wildlife course.

Research Interests

 I have spent the past four years at Texas State University studying the conservation social sciences. My research efforts have focused on informing social and institutional change in the way humans govern and interact with wildlife and their required habitats. I have developed a particular interest in the elements driving private landowner cooperation with endangered species governance in the United States. Specifically, I am interested in how negotiations for formal endangered species conservation programs can serve as the start-point of collective action and group solidarity for large-scale environmental issues. I am currently working towards my Ph.D. to deepen my understanding of this complex social process using a quantitative survey to expand upon the localized findings of my past research endeavors.
