Biography and Education

Dr. Shailen Singh currently serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Organization, Workforce, & Leadership Studies at Texas State with a research focus on the overlap between organization development and accessibility, with an emphasis on issues affecting parents of children with disabilities.

Dr. Singh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Texas A&M University, a Master's Degree in Higher Education from the University of Arkansas, and completed his Ph.D. in Human Resource Development from Texas A&M University-College Station. Prior to his time at Texas State, Dr. Singh spent 15 years as a University Administrator in areas related to First-Year Experience, Student Success, and Disability Services.

Research Interests

Dr. Singh is interested in improving accessibility (to both physical spaces and organizational processes/policies) for disabled people and their families through sound organizational development practices.
