Biography and Education
Stacey Cropley, a clinical assistant professor in the St. David’s School of Nursing, joined the faculty at Texas State in 2018. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Lubbock in 2011. Dr. Cropley’s research interests include patient-centered care modalities, care coordination, patient and policy advocacy, nursing resilience, and nursing burnout. Dr. Cropley has consistently engaged in scholarly inquiry with peer-reviewed publications in the Journal of Nursing Administration and Nurse Leader, among others. As a certified legal nurse consultant, Dr. Cropley has further engaged her scholarship and leveraged her nursing knowledge as an expert witness in a successful 2019 Federal Civil Rights case that focused on the violation of patient rights in association with nursing practice breakdown and systems failures.Teaching Interests
