Faculty Profile for Matt Painter
Biography and EducationMatthew W. Painter is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management and is also the Director of the McCoy MBA programs. He joined Texas State as a faculty member in 2011.
Matt earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Southwest Texas State University in 1999 and worked full-time in law enforcement from 1999 through 2005. He returned to Texas State University in 2006 and earned his MBA in 2008.
Matt's industry experience includes serving as a Senior Manager for Lennar, Inc., General Manager for Community Impact Newspaper, and Vice President of Operations at GasPedal. He also founded and currently operates MarketingLogic, a consulting company specializing in marketing and strategy for medical professionals in private practice.
In addition to his role as MBA program director Matt oversees undergraduate internships for management and marketing majors, graduate internships for the MBA and MSHRM programs, is the faculty advisor to the McCoy Graduate Student Association (MGSA), and serves on the University Marketing Committee. He lives in Georgetown with his wife, Tiffany, and their two sons.
