Biography and Education

Dr. Christopher Harvey is a Lecturer in the Department of Occupational, Workforce, and Leadership Studies at Texas State University since 2016. He currently teaches the following undergraduate and graduate courses: Human Problems in the Workplace and Adult Development and Career Planning.

Dr. Harvey has 17 years of public education (direct) and 5 years of higher education (indirect/direct) experience. He is currently Principal in Manor Independent School District where he works to reduce the "School-to-Prison Pipeline" through Restorative Practices and Dialog. His goal is to strengthen communities by strengthening partnerships between public schools, colleges/universities, community organizations, and businesses in research and practice.

Dr. Harvey obtained a Bachelors of Social Work at Texas State University, a Master's of Education Administration from Concordia University at Austin, and he earned his Ed.D. in Leadership in Education Administration from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
