Biography Section

Biography and Education

I am an Australian with a diverse background in delivering social services, as a primary producer, and in public administration including 8 years as a court appointed magistrate. I obtained a masters degree in Sociology from Texas State University in 2007, and since then I have been employed as a Senior Lecturer by the department of sociology at Texas Texas State University. Currently ABD in Ph.D. in Adult, Professional and Community Education.

Teaching Interests

Online pedagogical techniques, and innovation in statistical learning approaches.

Research Interests

The effect of note taking skill acquisition on learning and self-efficacy. Investigating the influence of biological sex categories and sex role behaviors (gender) on patterns of participation in formal education, sports and leisure. Applying radical feminist theory to consider how the claims of trans-gender activists may affect the social status and freedoms of females.
