Biography Section

Biography and Education

I was born in Antofagasta, northern region of Chile where I completed my elementary, middle, high school, and bachelor. The latter at the Universidad del Norte. Married to Cecilia Villagra, a school teacher, with I had two sons; Patricio, a physician, and Fernando, a physical therapist.
I have worked in several universities and my academic life has been mostly developed in Chile, Brazil, and the United States.

Population Geography, World Regional Geography, Transportation Models, Latin America, Theories and Methods in Geographic Education

Research Interests

Online learning methods, new technologies for global cooperation, international flows, TNCs and FDI, geospatial technologies in geography education
