Biography and Education

Graduated from University of Illinois in Chicago in 1990 with Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Over twenty years acute care experience as registered nurse in Critical Care ICU, Cardiac Care, PACU, and hospital case management. Graduated from University of Texas at Tyler in 2013 with a Master of Science in Nursing Education and continue to mentor new nurses.

Research Interests

Clinical education in Nursing: Partnership practices and student perceived caring behaviors in undergraduate nursing programs.

Global health and social determinants of care.
