Biography Section

Biography and Education

Worked with Count Basie Orchestra 1975-79, 1997-2007; Worked with Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, Lena Horne, Dave Brubeck and many others. Teaching drum set and jazz combo at Texas State University, San Marcos, since 2007. Winner of 3 Grammy awards, has recorded over 100 albums, has written numerous articles published in Percussive Notes and Modern Drummer. Drum set syncopation in Jazz, Rock, Funk and Latin styles.
