Biography and Education

I have been an educator for 36 years at three different institutions. Experience at two newspapers, a radio station and serving as a public information officer provided the background training prior to entering the educational field.

Teaching Interests

Media design, Media Writing, Introduction To Mass Communication, Sports News Writing, Fundamentals of Layout and Design, Fundamentals of Photoshop, Teaching along with teaching Illustrator.

Research Interests

I have begun writing a book about writing from a non traditional approach. I will continue to conduct more focus groups on a theory I conducted with positive feedback. I plan on moving forward this academic year to pursue and begin writing chapters based on the feedback from the focus groups which will introduce a twist on teaching writing from experiences people have occurred in their lives. The common element will show how consistency in how people lie can parallel traditional writing theories with fewer grammar errors.
