Biography Section

Biography and Education

Claudia Roeschmann is the coordinator of the Communication Design program and the graduate advisor of the MFA program. She has authored and been teaching courses in typography, typeface and editorial design, experimental book design, and brand identity since 2002 and has organized annual graduate field trips to Europe since 2009. She supports the entrepreneurial efforts at Texas State University as well as digitally engaged learning, and has been co-chair of the international DEL conference since 2013. Originally from Germany, she moved to New York in the late 90s to work for Vignelli Associates before moving to Austin, where she runs her design studio with a strong focus on non profit work. She holds a BFA and MA from the Hochschule für Künste, Bremen, and received her MFA at Texas State.
