Biography Section

Biography and Education

Ann Brooks earned a doctorate in Adult and Higher Education at Columbia University Teachers College. She was formerly a Professor of Education and an Honorary Professor of Women and Gender Studies at the University of Texas at Austin and is currently a Professor of Education and Honorary Professor of International Studies at Texas State University. She has worked in education in Cambodia as a Fulbright scholar, Papua New Guinea, Japan, China as an exchange scholar, Mexico, Colombia, and New Zealand as a visiting professor.

Research Interests

Learning in contexts of personal, social, and/or ecological disruption; adult learning and complexity; the link between individual learning and organizational or social change.
