Biography and Education

Rose Pulliam, PhD, MSW, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at Texas State University. Dr. Pulliam has served as Executive Director of local, state-wide, and national non-profits including the National Domestic Hotline and the National Teen Dating Abuse Helpline. Her experience includes over 20 years of advocacy and policy work on issues including reproductive justice, child abuse, LGBTQ populations, sexual assault, domestic violence and perpetrator intervention program implementation. Rose’s programmatic background includes clinical and advocacy work with children, adolescents, and adults in community and health care settings. Rose earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Masters in Social Work, both from the University of Alabama and a PhD in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin.
